About

I grew up in rural Ontario Canada in a family that bred and showed Saint Bernards and Newfoundlands.  I knew someday when I was out on my own, I would have lots of animals, specifically dogs that would require less grooming and slobber!

I acquired my first Doberman named Cairo, a black male, in 1978 and fell in love with the breed. I was attracted to their intelligence, personality and their “look of eagles”.  While I've had several Dobermans along the way, I didn’t get actively involved in showing Dobermans until 2009, shortly after I moved to Massachusetts.

I first met Kelly Lyn Marquis, a nationally well-known Doberman handler and breeder in 2010 who would become the handler for all my dogs in the conformation ring.  I knew back then I wanted a black female to special and breed.  Ten years later, with Kelly’s help, I acquired my foundation bitch “Piper” who would eventually become GCHS Undermountain Stylish Debut of Marquis WAC TKN.  Piper was one of the Top 20 Dobermans in 2020-2022 and has since produced two litters of lovely puppies who are currently showing in the conformation ring in New England, of which two have already finished their AKC Championships.

My mentors Kelly Lyn Marquis and her mother Linda Marquis have become dear friends over the years and we now co-breed together. We strive to produce healthy puppies, preserving correct temperament and conformation, taking into consideration pedigree and health testing for both sire and dam.  I am actively involved in showing in conformation and I am a member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America, as well as serving on the board for our local chapter club, Pilgrim Doberman Pinscher Club.

My husband Peter and I currently live west of Boston in the beautiful apple-picking countryside of Bolton, MA.  Here, our dogs have two acres to run, play and enjoy.  Our dogs and puppies do not live in a kennel and are part of our family enjoying all the same comforts of home that we do.
